I was born and raised in Central Florida and graduated from U.C.F. in 2016 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. After college I was hired as a Process Engineer by Siemens Energy, which is still my current role today. As a Process Engineer, I spend my days designing mechanical components for the fluid systems on combined cycle power plants and collaborating with other engineering teams to execute customer specific projects and evaluations. I’ve been volunteering for the STEAM team since 2017, participating as a general volunteer, treasurer, and am currently lead of the program. At home, I have a beautiful wife and goldendoodle puppy to keep me company. On the side, my hobbies include playing golf (very poorly) and taking care of the yard.
I am the proud co-founder of the STEAM at Siemens Energy initiative which gave me the opportunity to connect with thousands of students in my community to share my passion in STEAM, and inspire them to pursue a higher education. During my college years, as a Hispanic woman in engineering, I experienced what it was like to be a double minority. I made it my mission to ensure that future generations could look up to someone who looked more like them and not be afraid to take part in this exciting industry. Today, as a part of the STEAM team at Siemens Energy, I continue to look for opportunities to connect with #Futuremakers ready to make change happen in a world where innovation and creativity are intertwined more than ever if we want to solve the big problems.
I have been with the STEAM team since 2015. I am passionate about giving back to my local community in both volunteering and mentoring capacities. I support Make-A-Wish as a wish granter and Champions for Children at AdventHealth. Mentoring has allowed me to experience the positive impact of sharing my growth journey while helping others determine theirs. For the numerous students I have worked with, this has been geared towards increasing STEAM literacy which is especially important to help develop tomorrow’s future leaders. As a minority in this field, it is personal for me. Siemens Energy has enabled me to empower the underrepresented students in STEAM find their voice and learn how to use it through STEAM Future Makers initiatives. Being a part of this leadership team is a true privilege and I look forward to continuing to foster lifelong learning where possible.
I am a project manager at Siemens Energy with a B.S. degree in Computer Science and a M.S. degree in Data Analytics. I enjoy learning, programming, playing basketball and I am a HUGE STEAM advocate. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to give back to my community and share the knowledge I have with others through Siemens Energy and our amazing STEAM team. I cannot give enough credit to the current and past individuals on this team for making STEAM at Siemens Energy possible.
I am the co-founder of STEAM at Siemens Energy where we continue to inspire the next generation of innovators. I first went to art school and studied Industrial Design at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Later I continued my technical education where I studied Mechanical and Material Engineering at University of Central Florida (UCF). After graduating from UCF, I joined the Siemens Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP) where my rotational assignments included experience in Quality Engineering in Generator Risk Management and Service Engineering, Repair Manufacturing Engineering in Gas Turbine Repair Network and Project Engineering in Wind Power Renewable Sector.
I am an Experienced professional with 10+ years combined experience working in the Power and Gas, Service and Technology industries. I am one of the Siemens Energy STEAM Officers based in Orlando Florida, that seeks innovative generational talent and promotes equal opportunities for aspiring minorities. It is such an honor to be part of this wonderful team!
I originally joined the STEAM team through the Summer Work Experience Program and after getting hired at Siemens Energy I joined the officers team. I have a B.S. in Computer Engineering and I work in the Digitalization team developing web applications for our customers in Latin America. After seeing the amazing work this team does, I knew I had to be part of it and continue to inspire the next generation to pursue STEAM careers and become the next innovators!
